robert gets a few tips from baz

Again wickford put on a cracking event dan even got the sun to shine 6 members from delado took part here are there times
1st OAP colin smith 167.67
2nd alex cannon 170.53
3rd baz cannon 171.50
4th darran knights 171.53
5th robert buchanan 175.76
6th cameron 215.00
As you can see the competition was very close but the OAP colin takes some beating baz cannon came out of retirement to drive the gaz ka but still needs more practice as he has not driven in competition since the early 90s but was very pleased to have beaten darran knights now on two occasion robert and cameron just enjoy all forms of motorsport because cameron didnt win he had to go to school on the monday morning

new rules for round 2

the introduction of a few new rules for test 2
1 navigators will be allowed but they will have to have a club membership this will cost 35.00 per year
2 there will not be a flying finish any more the introduction of a finish line will be introduced any car not coming to a stop before the line will get a 15 second penalty
3 the introduction of 3 parade laps before the test starts after that any vehicle not following the correct course will have the penalty of a max time

test 1

Delado motor club off to a flying start after a long lay off Sunday saw a very good entry for the first Delado test held at Bradwell air field lots of the old faces and some new some good driving and some not so good but everyone really enjoyed the day out . the most entertaining drive of the day has to go to Craig Schofield the Sebastian Loab look alike the competition at the front was fierce Colin smith in the escort Darren knights in the Mk2 and Alex cannon in his newly built CBC Mk2 rs 2000 gave the spectators some real rally action robin Wilkinson driving after a three year lay off showed he still new where the throttle pedal was


plenty of action from the class A junior Ben Farr and Cameron Buchanan showing lot potential in the juniors




BNI members also had a day out driving a Skoda supplied by RPM, i think they will be back


Darren Knights driving smoothly and correctly all day to secure second place in class and third overall

Alex Cannon driving his newly built CBC RS2000 to a very respectable 4th overall and 3rd in class

Craig Schofield was the most colorful driver out there and unfortunately had to retire due to a broken exhaust rubbers

Colin Smith showing everyone how its done by winning the event and class and also had the FTD of the day

BNI members enjoying there day out in the Skoda, and out of the BNI members Mel the Blind was the fastest BNI driver of the day
